History
In April 1983, John-William Fine Furniture & Interiors, Inc. was formed to distribute home furnishings and interior design services. The owners of the company wanted to fulfill a need they saw in the market to combine the resources of a stocking furniture dealer with the services of an Interior Designer.

The founders of the company were William R. Sawyer, Jr. and John D. Snell.

Our first store location opened New Years Day 1984 on San Pedro Road in San Antonio. Our second location opened in March 1985 in the West Woods Shopping Center on Bee Cave Road in Austin. The San Antonio store moved to the Collonade Shopping Center in December of 1987, moving once again to its present and largest facility, a free standing builing on IH-10 West. A third store was opened in 1995 on Anderson Lane in Austin in the Creekside Square shopping center.

Awards
Among our awards and accomplishments are the winning of the 1993, 1994, 1997,1998, and 2004 Max Award for Best Interior Design. We have completed projects as varied as hotels and country clubs to yachts and aircraft, not to mention homes in all price ranges.
